Key Goals: The Passion

Identifying and prioritizing an organization’s key goals is the second task of setting up the NOW Management System Fundamentals. At a recent client work session facilitated by John Bernard, a variety of key goals were identified, grouped, prioritized, re-worded and selected. Out of the fifty or so goals described during brainstorming sessions, 7 key goals were identified and agreed upon by upper management. The most fun part of the meeting was at the end when managers’ comments were voiced, some of which are captured herein:

I was pleasantly surprised at arriving to 7 key goals.

When I closed my eyes to listen to the goals, I could envision us truly being transformed and it sounded amazing.

The process was enjoyable and speed was amazing because it was being facilitated by outside professionals.

Very elegant and simple process.

I loved where we ended up and can see how it will greatly reduce variation.

I was pleasantly surprised that the group was able to move this quickly, and the language of the 7 goals is fantastic.

MANAGING IN THE NOW is for leaders who are searching for what is relevant in an increasingly competitive world and who need to quickly take advantage of the massive shift to customization and every time getting every employee to take advantage of every opportunity to either reduce cost, increase revenue or improve quality. PASSION IS WHERE IT ALL STARTS!
